Sea Girt May 2020 Market Review

According to my research of the May real estate market in Sea Girt, there were 21 active listings with an average list price of $3,002,619. Five homes sold in this luxury market for an average sale price of $2,551,000, which was an increase from April 2020 where one home sold for $1,700,000. Four new listings were added and all of them were listed above $500,000.

The average number of days on the market in May was 112, which was an increase from April. This was to be expected as the economy started to recover and reopen amidst COVID-19 concerns. Last year in May 2019, the average number of days from listing to contract was only 28. We can anticipate the number of days on the market to decrease through the summer months due to low inventory and higher demand.

Currently, there are 26 homes for sale ranging up to $7,450,000. There are 9 homes under contract priced up to $3,249.000. City dwellers are venturing away from densely populated areas and house hunting for spacious properties in quiet and more private neighborhoods.
